TERMS & CONDITIONS
By making a booking and staying with us, you agree to the terms and conditions below. These terms form the basis of the contract between you and The Old Barn.
Bookings
To secure your reservation, we ask for valid debit or credit card details at the time of booking.
A deposit equal to the cost of the first night’s accommodation, per room booked, is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable.However, if you cancel and we are able to re-let the room for the full value of your original booking, we will refund your deposit. In the event of a non-arrival, your card will be charged for the full value of your booking.
If you are booking on behalf of someone else, you may be held responsible for non-arrival, damage or loss, and any monies due may be taken from the card used to secure the booking.
Please let us know at the time of booking if you, or any member of your party, has any special access requirements or dietary needs. Our access statement is available on request and can also be viewed on our website.
Please note that, due to the nature of the building, The Old Barn is not suitable for babies, children under 5, or wheelchair users. We do, however, welcome well-behaved dogs.
Cancellations & Curtailment
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or cut short your stay. If you cancel and we are unable to re-let the room, your deposit will not be refunded. If we are able to re-let the room for the full value of your booking, we will refund your deposit.
If you choose to cut short your stay after arrival, the full cost of the original booking will still be payable.
We strongly recommend taking out suitable travel insurance to cover cancellation, curtailment, illness, travel disruption or other unexpected circumstances.
Arrival
Check-in is between 4pm and 8pm.
If you are delayed, or expect to arrive after 8pm, please let us know as soon as possible by calling 07974 841613.
One free car parking space is provided per room booked. If you are bringing more than one vehicle, you will need to make separate parking arrangements for any additional vehicles. Cars are parked entirely at the owner’s risk. Any belongings left in vehicles are also left at your own risk.
During Your Stay
We take great pride in our housekeeping, and your room will be clean and ready for your arrival.
Please note that we do not provide daily housekeeping during your stay. However, if you need any top-ups or assistance, please just let us know.
Guests are not permitted to have visitors in their rooms at any time.
Any items removed from the rooms without our consent will be charged for.
Lost keys will incur a £30 charge.
We understand that accidents can happen. Please let us know straight away if there is any damage, breakage or spillage so that we can deal with it promptly. Failure to report damage may result in a charge being made if damage is found after departure.
Please leave muddy shoes, boots and wet clothing in the entrance porch. Specialist cleaning may be charged for if carpets or furnishings are soiled.
Smoking/Vaping & Behaviour
The Old Barn is a non-smoking/vaping property. Smoking/vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the premises, including in bedrooms or from bedroom windows.
If a guest is found smoking or vaping in a room, they may be asked to leave and the full cost of the reservation will still be charged. If smoking or vaping is discovered after departure, a charge may be made for professional cleaning and deodorising.
We want all guests to enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay. Please be considerate of other guests, especially late at night and early in the morning.
Guests are asked to come to breakfast suitably dressed. Nightwear and bare feet are not suitable in the breakfast room.
Please keep mobile phones on silent during breakfast. Any calls should be taken away from the breakfast room so that other guests are not disturbed.
On arrival, you will receive a set of keys and are welcome to come and go as you please. If returning late at night, please keep noise to a minimum as other guests may be sleeping.
Departure
Please vacate your room by 10.45am on the day of departure.
We kindly ask that you leave your room in a respectable condition and check carefully that you have all your belongings with you.
Your car parking space will remain available until 1pm on the day of departure.
Please settle any outstanding balance before checking out. Receipts are available on request.
Finally
